Every DJ company in the Knoxville area seems to advertise themselves as “experts” and “professionals” – only Pro-Audio (who has been in business since 1979) have a DJ staff who have degrees from UT in Broadcasting and from the Professional Academy of Broadcasting, FCC Radio licenses, years and years of experience working at several area radio stations, and have played at hundreds of successful wedding receptions, class reunions, corporate functions, and school dances! When we say professional, we mean it!

John Rutherford –
I graduated from UT Knoxville back in the ’80s and was working for several different radio stations (including WIMZ) when I began working with Pro-Audio Mobile DJs. Since then I have been a full-time Disc Jockey as well as a wedding coordinator, event MC, and concert promoter.
I now own Pro-Audio and am very proud of our staff of DJs who help make our DJ company the most experienced and professional in this area!
Bill Rutherford –
My brother Bill has always been a music fanatic and collector and began promoting concerts while he was a college student! He books several shows a years all over the Knoxville area with artists as diverse as David Allen Coe to Percy Sledge! His amazing music and memorabilia collection has been featured in several newspaper and magazine articles over the years and he has lent his talents as a DJ with Pro-Audio for over 20 years!
Brad Deaton-
Brad (also known as DJ Chili) is a graduate from the Professional Academy of Broadcasting and has also worked with Pro-Audio for over 20 years! He was the house DJ at one of Knoxville’s largest nightclubs for years and is also an accomplished musician who has played in many popular local bands. His musical/DJ background make him the perfect host for any event!
Michael Foust –
Michael has been working with Pro-Audio for over 10 years after he obtained his FCC license and had worked at no less than four different local radio staions! He is great with any crowd and his radio background makes him a professional host at any function!
Scott Adkins-
Scott began his professional DJ career in 1988 and has worked at four different local radio stations. He is also a seasoned musician and an accomplished public speaker who has shared his humor and insight across the South as well as in Northern Ireland, England, and Scotland. After obtaining his college degree Scott began working with Pro-Audio over 10 years ago and because of his musicianship and background in public speaking he loves to host karaoke events!
